Evansville Rescue Mission

Since 1917, the Evansville Rescue Mission has been following the vision of our founder, Ernest “Pappy” Reveal. Throughout the year, we complete intervening measures to assist homeless men by providing daily meals, shelter, clothing distribution, individual case management, and referrals to other social service agencies. It is our desire to give each man a life plan to better prepare them in finding gainful employment, affordable housing, and mentoring relationships. Besides these services, the Mission offers preventative measures to guard against homelessness at our other campus locations including Camp Reveal (a 105 acre campground just north of Evansville that hosts summer camp for local children, as well as retreats, reunions, and other gatherings), the Youth Care Center (the Mission’s short-term residency and detention center for boys and girls between the ages of 12-17), and The Wear House (our thrift store that offers the general public a variety of gently used clothing items, furniture, and appliances for a heavily discounted price).
